Core concepts include using agreement, listening, playing honestly, practicing getting up on stage, building scenes with your partner, and character work. I strongly believe anyone can improvise, so this class is for everyone! No experience is necessary, and you don’t need to believe you are funny, I promise. Improv is not stand-up, don’t worry, it is about support, collaboration, and fun. Each class will include warm-ups, various improv games, and exercises that help students use their ideas to create and build strong scenes together. At the end of the 8-week session, you and your classmates will perform as a team in your very own show! This course runs once a week for 8 weeks the last week includes the show and each class is 2 hours long.
